G4F managed the sound production for Darksburg<\/a>, the newest release from French-based Shiro Games<\/a> studio! That includes sound design<\/strong>, mixing, audio QA, and integration<\/strong> (into the studio’s game engine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Simon Nardou, Lead Sound Designer<\/strong>, was in charge of the sound design for this project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe most important thing for our sound design development was to find the best way to illustrate the work and artistic direction created by Shiro Games. It\u2019s a fun game that\u2019s little cartoonish, but which kicks some serious zombie butt.<\/strong> I had a lot of fun working on this project. The team is awesome, and Darksburg is a great project<\/strong>!\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
I really enjoyed making the undead. Coming up with the sound of the zombie horde was especially cool.<\/em> The challenge was to create the impression they were this threatening mass.<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> I was particularly inspired by Bend Studio’s \u201cDays Gone,\u201d a game where the zombie hordes were really well done.<\/em><\/p>
